Preaching Minister - Gary E. Fenner

The Fenners moved to Sellersburg from Richmond, VA in April, 1986 to help found Calvary Christian Church in partnership with the Christian churches in the area cooperating through Southern Indiana New Church Evangelism. Gary studied at Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary (now Cincinnati Christian University) and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1977 and a Master of Arts Degree in 1979. He also received a Master of Sacred Literature Degree from Louisville Bible College in 1997.

Besides his work in the church, he has committed himself to serving the community. He has served as an elected official on the Town Board, as a member of the Parks Board, a substitute teacher in the schools, as a member and officer of the local Minister’s Association and fulfilled his passion toward law enforcement by serving as the Chaplain for the Sellersburg Police Department since 1990.

Gary has been married to his wife Debbie since 1978 and they have three grown children and one daughter-in-law.

Associate Minister - Peter Rasor II

Peter Rasor began in 2005 serving as the Associate Minister at Calvary Christian Church. He also teaches theology and philosophy at Louisville Bible College. He holds a B.S. degree from Valparaiso University in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Ministry and Master of Divinity degrees from Cincinnati Christian University, Master of Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently working toward a PH.D in Christian philosophy and theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Peter has a beautiful family. He married his wife Jennifer in 1998 and has three children, Samantha, Alyssa, and Leah.

Youth Minister

Kevin R. Beck began his ministry with Calvary Christian Church as a part time interim Youth Minister. We liked him so much, we hired him permanently. In order to fulfill his commitment as a teacher in a Christian school, he will just be part time until June, 2008 and then begin his full time ministry with us. Kevin is a "home grown product." He graduated from our own Silver Creek High School and grew up in Memphis Christian Church, a sister church just seven miles from us. He is a 1993 graduate of Cincinnati Bible College (now Cincinnati Christian University). In nearly twenty years of ministry, he has served congregations in the areas of youth, music, and preaching. He has also taught for several years in Christian schools, and spent almost five years as a missionary in Mozambique.

He and his wife Mindy live in Charlestown, IN.

Other Supporting Staff

Besides the paid staff, we are blessed to have a wonderful volunteer staff that includes Donna Bisdorf and Jennifer Crum serving as secretaries and Debbie Fenner overseeing the music program. They are in the church office at least two days a week.
